A beekeeping training organized during the 36th edition of the Sidi Alouane Honey Festival
On the occasion of the 36th edition of the Honey Festival and the Renaissance of Heritage in Sidi Alouane, a beekeeping training session will be organized from 6 to 8 August 2026 in order to promote good practices in beekeeping and encourage the development of sustainable beekeeping in Tunisia.

On the occasion of the 36th edition of the Honey Festival and the Renaissance of Heritage in Sidi Alouane, the National Association of the Honey Festival and the Renaissance of Heritage organizes, under the supervision of the Office of Livestock and Grazing (OEP), a training course dedicated to beekeeping.
This initiative is part of the festival's activities aimed at supporting the development of Tunisia's beekeeping sector, to pass on technical knowledge and to encourage young people as well as farmers to get involved in sustainable beekeeping projects.
Training objectives
The training aims to introduce participants to the fundamental principles of beekeeping, to present good apicultural practices, and to raise awareness of the economic, agricultural and environmental importance of beekeeping.
It is also an opportunity for people who wish to launch a beekeeping activity or deepen their knowledge with sector professionals.
Practical information
- Dates : 6, 7 and 8 August 2026
- Location : Maison de la Culture de Sidi Alouane, Mahdia Governorate (Tunisia)
- Target audience : farmers, young people, aspiring beekeepers, and anyone interested in beekeeping and honey production.
- Certificate : a training certificate will be provided to participants at the end of the session.

Training at the heart of the festival
Beyond its role as a showcase for products from the beehive, the Sidi Alouane Honey Festival places great importance on the transfer of know-how. The trainings, conferences and meetings organized during the festival help develop beekeepers' skills and contribute to highlighting Tunisia's apicultural heritage.

Office of Livestock and Grazing
The Office of Livestock and Grazing (OEP) is a Tunisian public institution placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture. It supports the development of the livestock, fodder resources and beekeeping sectors through training, guidance, expertise and technical support activities.
